Information about Paros Port

Paros Island features a small port which is easy to navigate. You will not have any trouble finding the gate as there are only three of them. If you are reaching Paros Port by car or bus from another location, be aware that there might be traffic. Most of the time there are two ships docked in the port and that has as an outcome a traffic jam.

To reach the port of Paros from other locations on the island you can use the local bus line, a taxi or a transfer service. It is useful to know that the local bus line has the final stop right next to port gates. If you choose a taxi or a transfer service, we suggest you make an appointment the day before. If you have a rental car, you can drop it off at the port after communicating with the rental agency.

We suggest you arrival 60 minutes before the departure.

You will not experience any difficulty in finding your ship due to the fact that the port is quite small. You will see it after all as you will first arrive on Paros Island. 

After acquiring a ferry ticket from you will receive an email which includes, among others your personal information and reservation number.

This is not a ticket yet. You will have to visit our office in order for us to print it. You can also print it in any travel agency in Greece which handles ferry tickets.

For example you can go to any travel agency in Greece that handles ferry tickets, show them the email from and ask them to print you the ticket. There might be a handle fee of about 1€.  

The fastest ferry trip from Paros to Santorini takes 2 hrs and 5 minutes and the longest takes 4 hrs and 40 minutes.

Information about Santorini

Santorini Island is situated in the south Aegean. This is one of the destinations which does not need introduction. Santorini’s main port is called Athinios. During the high season it can get quite crowded, as thousands of travellers arrive here. You should take into your consideration the traffic between the port and the capital of Santorini, both during your arrival and departure.

In order to get to several locations in Santorini from the port, you can use the buses situated on your left hand as you disembark from the ferry. You can also arrange a transfer service or take a taxi. We suggest you arrange a transfer with an agency or a taxi as soon as possible.  

Santorini Island features a local bus line which you can use to reach several locations on the island. The starting point of every line is in Fira, the capital of Santorini. Therefore, first you will take the bus to Fira and then another one to other settlements. 

Taxi in Santorini Port are usually waiting for the arrival of every ferry. However, sometimes their number is not enough for the many travellers disembarking from the ferry.

What to do and see in Santorini?

The reputation precedes its place. Santorini Island is one of the most stunning destinations in the world due to its landscape and its architecture. This destination is so much more than most travellers believe. You will understand it from day one. The feeling that you will get when visiting different corners of Santorini will be something you never felt before. There is something different to receive when you are in Oia, Imerovigli, Fira or the inland villages. Canava houses, cave rooms, volcanic beaches, vineyards and of course the volcano consist an environment which separates itself from other islands.


While you are in Santorini, you must visit the above mentioned villages; Oia, Fira and Imerovigli. Other villages like Pyrgos and Megalochori are interesting too, as they are known for wine production. If you are asking yourself where to see the sunset, Oia and Imerovigli are definitely top places to go.

What to do and see in Paros?

In Santorini you can also participate in interesting activities. First of all, there is the daily trip to the volcano. Since you are on the island, you must visit it and explore. There are spots on the volcano where you can feel the warmth of the ground. Additionally, you can participate in a daily cruise to the islets whit volcanic springs. Secondly, we suggest you participate in a wine tasting experience. This island features rare weather conditions, making their vineyards unique and therefore, the final products stand out.


In addition, a cable car ride beside the cliffs to the well-known old port from Fira could be an additional adventure for you.
