Paros Island features a small port which is easy to navigate. You will not have any trouble finding the gate as there are only three of them. If you are reaching Paros Port by car or bus from another location, be aware that there might be traffic. Most of the time there are two ships docked in the port and that has as an outcome a traffic jam.
To reach the port of Paros from other locations on the island you can use the local bus line, a taxi or a transfer service. It is useful to know that the local bus line has the final stop right next to port gates. If you choose a taxi or a transfer service, we suggest you make an appointment the day before. If you have a rental car, you can drop it off at the port after communicating with the rental agency.
We suggest you arrival 60 minutes before the departure.
You will not experience any difficulty in finding your ship due to the fact that the port is quite small. You will see it after all as you will first arrive on Paros Island.

The fastest ferry trip from Paros to Naxos takes 20 minutes and the longest takes 45 minutes.
Naxos is the biggest island of the Cycladic complex, situated east of Paros. Therefore, many travellers choose to visit both islands during their vacation. Like in all Cyclades, the port of Naxos is small and you will not have trouble navigating it. Once you disembark, you will walk for a few hundred meters until you reach the main road of the town.
To reach other locations of Naxos Island, you can use the local bus line, taxi or transfer service. Of course, many travellers use car rental services. In this case you can ask the rental agency to deliver your car to the port.
If you choose the local bus line to get to your destination from the port of Naxos, it is important to know where the starting point is. As you will disembark from the ferry and walk straight for a few hundred meters, you will see the green buses right in front of you.
Taxis in the port of Naxos can be found in the same location as the buses. As you disembark from the ferry, walk straight and you will see many of them. Most of Naxos taxis are waiting for every ship’s arrival.
Naxos Island is an interesting destination and therefore, as well as due to its location, it is in the center of island hopping in Cyclades. As a traveller, you can find almost everything here. If you are a water sport enthusiast, you will not be disappointed. If gastronomy is your passion, Naxos will exceed your expectations. Additionally the sandy beaches on the west side of the island are truly amazing. You might have heard of Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna, Maragas, Plaka and Mikri Vigla. This is a “chain” of sandy beaches which does not stop at the last one mentioned. It continues for a little bit more down south. All of them have organized spots as well as quieter ones. Additionally, along the beaches there are countless beach bars, restaurants and taverns.
The main beach of Naxos Town, Agios Georgios beach, is situated on the south-west part of the town. It is as popular as the beaches above; it attracts tourists as well as local people.
There is an attraction which many say is the trademark of Naxos. We are talking of course about the Temple of Apollo and the “Portara” monument in the port. You will see it on your left when you will disembark from the ferry. Probably the best time to visit the temple is during the sunset. The scenery of Naxos Town as well as of the sunset is unforgettable.
In the heart of the town, there is the well-known Castle. It is interesting to blend among the alleys and reach it. Naxos Island however is famous for something else; its gastronomy. You might not know that yet, before getting here. However when you live, it will be one of the aspects that you will remember and share with people back home. This might be an island but its culinary tradition consists of cheese, potatoes and delicious meat dishes. Therefore, if you are participating in island hopping, eat seafood dishes on other islands. In Naxos, try their traditional dishes.
